Blackrock, Our Cork based client seeks a medical receptionist

Greeting and meeting patients ; scheduling appointments; maintaining records and accounts.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries
Optimises patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilisation by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient’s arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delays.
Comforts patients by anticipating patients’ anxieties; answering patients’ questions; maintaining the reception area.
Ensures availability of medical information by filing and retrieving patient records.
Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
Processing and distribution of mail/faxes/e-mails
Maintaining and updating company telephone listing
Dictation and patient correspondence
Maintain filing system daily
Maintaining and updating the evacuation listing
Maintains office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; scheduling equipment service and repairs.
Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies.
Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Maintain physical access security to offices in ensuring reception is manned and all visitors re identified and met by member of staff and not allowed to freely walk-in to offices
To maintain security of keys and access to keys held within client’s Offices
To ensure that if you are a keyholder that the leys are kept safe and not given to unauthorised persons
Receptionist Skills and Qualifications:

Telephone Skills,
Customer Service,
Time Management,
Attention to Detail,
Quality Focus
Computer literate including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook. Ideally experience of a health-related booking/ appointment system e.g. Socrates, eOPAS.

At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role in a similar environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €16.66 per hour
