Practice Accountant – part time

Our client, a small accoutnancy practice in Cork city requires to hire a part time qualified accountant to look after a number of clients , due to retirement of an senior accountant in the firm.
This client is very flexible and will work around the candidates needs for flexibility – approx 25 hrs per week – can partially work from home as agreed.

Work Duties and Responsibilities
Preparing statutory accounts for companies.
Preparing accounts for sole traders to completion.
Ensuring any records kept are correct.
Working with spreadsheets and journals.
Bank reconciliations.
Monitoring daily communications and answering any queries.
Liaising with clients.
Updating and maintaining procedural documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
It is not necessary to have a degree in accounting, business, or finance, however, it is favourable. Office experience favourable. Experience of working with small to medium clients would be favourable. Experience in collecting, gathering, preparing, presenting and maintaining accounting files.

Working Conditions
Working arrangements can be flexible – primarily working in the office city centre office ( near Washington st) , a hybrid mix between working in office and working from home may be arranged.

Salary: €32,000.00 per year
