Accounts Assistant

Cork - Little Island

Our Little Island based client seeks an Accounts Assistant for 16 hours per week.

As payroll is done every Monday, you will need to work 4-5 hours every Monday and then the remaining hours can be done as you wish across the week with very flexible start times also.

Accounts Assistant Duties

Payroll experience with knowledge of Sage/MicroPay a bonus.

Payroll and related tasks

 Weekly payroll – to be completed every Monday

 Maintain staff holidays and sick pay listings

 Cost of sale report weekly

 Calculate part-timers holiday pay at the year-end

 Quarterly CSO return

Invoice Matching

 Match goods received dockets to invoices then check invoices with Meridian

to ensure prices & quantities are correct

 Goods invoiced not received and goods received not invoiced listings at the

month end for the management accounts

Sales Invoicing

 Sales invoicing for credit sales

 Send out monthly debtors statements at the end of every month

Other

 Prepare budgets and cash receipts / petty cash templates for the following

month

 Order stationery

 At the end of each month file away the till receipts for each shop along

 Preparation and submission of Intrastat return monthly

 Daily reconciliation of tills and preparation of lodgements

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: €18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
