Accounts Assistant


Our Blackrock, Cork client is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join the team immediately on an initial 24 hour a week, 6 month contract (with a view to extension).

The hours can be full days or across several short days. Tuesdays and Fridays do need to be 2 of the chosen days even if just for shorter hours.

Job Title: Part Time Accounts Assistant

Reporting to company Financial Controller you will be responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services and ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

· Setting up new supplier accounts.

· Scanning and process supplier invoices in AutoEntry software.

· Monthly Suppliers Reconciliations.

· Assisting with monthly supplier payment runs.

· Investigating and resolving supplier queries.

· Setting up new customer accounts.

· Assisting with customer Invoicing.

· Bi-weekly Debtors reconciliations and collection.

· Investigating and resolving customer queries.

· Assisting with banking, payment processing and reconciliations.

· Weekly Cash Lodgements and reconciliations.

· Reconciling company credit cards.

· Assisting with preparation of monthly management accounts.

· Assisting with other accounting activities and reporting.

· Ad-hoc duties.

Accounting Manager Skills and Qualifications:

· Qualified / Part Qualified Accounting Technician.

· Proven experience in accounts role.

· Good exposure to both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

· Strong attention to details and organizational skills.

· Ability to work well as part of the team.

· Excellent written and oral communication skills.

· Experience in SAGE, AutoEntry and Excel.

· Strong administrative and computer skills.

· Excellent organization and time management skills.

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term

Part-time hours: 24 per week

Salary: €16.00-€18.00 per hour
